ALUN JONES WIBA PRESIDENT 2014

It is with great sadness that Welsh Indoor Bowls announces the passing of former President Alun Jones, Alun was President in 2014 and his friendly attitude towards his fellow bowlers made him a popular favourite around the indoor greens both as a player and officer.

In 2017 Alun became Chairman of Bowls Wales a position he held with distinction until he stepped down in 2020.

Alun will be missed by his fellow bowlers both on the green where he was a fierce competitor and off the green where he enjoyed the company of the people he had played against.

The thought of everyone at Welsh Indoor Bowls are with Sue and the family.
