HILARY KING MBE.

It is with great sadness that Welsh Indoor Bowls announces the passing of Hilary King MBE. Hilary was an outstanding individual and a stalwart of Welsh Indoor Bowls for thirty-five years, Hilary served as Secretary of Welsh Ladies Indoor Bowling Association from 1985 until 2019 when she stood down.

In 2001 Hilary was elected as President of The World Indoor Bowls Council and was the first lady to hold this post, she was later elected as a life member.

In 2008 Hilary was awarded an MBE for services to indoor bowls.

Hilary will be sadly missed by the indoor bowls fraternity in Wales and around the United Kingdom.
